Robotics

Throughout history, it has been frequently assumed that robots will one day be able to mimic human behavior and manage tasks in a human-like fashion. Today, robotics is a rapidly growing field and continuous research, design and development are in progress to build new robots which can serve various practical purposes, whether domestically, commercially, or militarily. But at the same time there are many challenges lies ahead to built a robot fully autonomous and commercially viable. At TRECO we do research on some specific robotic challenges and trying to address issues which help us to built a more sophisticated, efficient and commercially viable product.

Our Projects:

1.  GPS-Guided Outdoor Autonomous Mobile Robot:

The purpose of this research project is to design an autonomous robot which can detect its surroundings, communicate with operator and navigate according to GPS module input. It also equipped with ultrasonic sensors to detect the obstacles.

2. RFID & Ultrasonic Sensors Based Indoor Mobile Robot Navigation:

This is an intelligent navigation method for indoor mobile robotic vehicles. RFID tags attached in the robotic environment, help to navigate the robot in a desired path while ultrasonic sensors are used to detect the obstacles in the path.

3. GSM & Micro-controller Based Unmanned Vehicle Design:

Due to better control and higher frequency range of GSM module an unmanned robotic vehicle with remote control operation set by the GSM network would be an replacement for limited frequency RF circuit based remote controlled system.

4. Autonomous Surveillance Robot with Path Tracking Capability:

The idea of this project is to build an autonomous robot for surveillance applications with additional capabilities like pattern recognition, path tracing, fire detection and obstacle detection.

5. Bluetooth Controlled Robot Navigation:

The purpose of this research project is to control the motion of a robot using an application of Android smart phone. A wireless communication between the smart phone device and robotic vehicle is essential by Bluetooth technology.
