The “Internet of things” (IoT) is becoming an increasingly growing topic of conversation both in the workplace and outside of it. It’s a concept that not only has the potential to impact how we live but also how we work. Broadband Internet is become more widely available, the cost of connecting is decreasing, more devices are being created with Wi-Fi capabilities and sensors built into them, technology costs are going down, and Smartphone penetration is sky-rocketing. All of these things are creating a “perfect storm” for the IoT. Simply put, this is the concept of basically connecting any device with an on and off switch to the Internet (and/or to each other). This includes everything from cell phones, coffee makers, washing machines, headphones, lamps, wearable devices advance smart home, industrial automation and almost anything else you can think of. This also applies to components of machines, for example a jet engine of an airplane or the drill of an oil rig. As mentioned, if it has an on and off switch then chances are it can be a part of the IoT. At TRECO we do research on some interesting IoT projects to utilize its magical power to change human life style and promote a safe and secure environment to live in.
Our Projects:
1. IoT Based Industry Automation:
IOT or internet of things is a technology that deals with bringing control of physical devices over the internet. The aim of this project is to design an efficient industry automation system that allows user to efficiently control industry appliances/machines over the internet Wi-Fi modem. Micro-controller based system will allow better ,safe and efficient industrial automation.
2. IoT Based Home Automation:
The aim of this project is to use IOT to built smart home by controlling different electrical home appliances includes TV, Fridge, fan, Lighting and many more by using IoT technology. A user friendly interface would allow a user to easily control these home appliances through the internet. Wi-Fi modem and micro-controller would be integral part of this project.
3. IoT Based Smart Patient Health Monitoring System:
The aim of this project is to built a smart patient health tracking system that uses Sensors to track patient health and uses internet to inform their loved ones in case of any issues. Specially this project is aiming periodic monitor of old age patients health and to inform their loved ones about their health status from time to time while at work.
4. IoT Based Smart Liquid Level Monitoring System:
The aim of this project is to develop a highly efficient smart Liquid Level Monitoring system based on IoT technology. This
system will monitor the level of liquid, will control the motor switching and will prevent it from overflowing.
